Hers Vs Mochi, side by side comparison.

Compare Semaglutide

When it comes to weight loss, we all have different needs.  Some want a full-blown, proven weight loss platform with all the fancy apps to track foods, etc. and others of us are only looking for assistance to get a prescription to go on Semaglutide.  Regardless of your needs, in this Hers vs. Mochi Health Semaglutide for Weight Loss Review, I'll dive deep into how these two providers can help you in your weight loss journey.

One of these two providers provides that white-glove weight loss support assistance and the other does not.  Keep reading  or watch my YouTube video to learn the differences between the two companies.

Mochi, doctors that listen.

How they compare Side-by-Side, Mochi Vs. hers

The first thing to understand is that these two providers have very different philosophies around weight loss.  Mochi acts as a trusted partner in your weight loss journey whereas hers is more of a weight loss drug provider.

For hers to get started, you'll create an account, complete your medical history and make a decision on whether you want to start on a month-to-month plan or possibly purchase three or six months at one time. You may be able to use insurance with hers, but you'll be on your own to navigate the pre-authorization process.

With Mochi, they truly focus on helping you navigate your medical insurance and to gain a pre-authorization. If you are not able to get approved by your medical insurance, Mochi offers compounded Semaglutide for much less than the branded versions. Mochi does require a monthly membership subscription that is $79/month and includes, a customized nutrition plan that includes virtual visits with a dietitian to help keep you on track and monitor your progress.

At this point, some providers provide 1:1 telehealth appointments via Zoom or some other telemedicine platform while others do all communication and provide answers via a texting platform, like their patient portal.

Hers offers all their communication and on-going support via their patient portal using text messaging.  Whereas Mochi will schedule a live 1:1 telehealth appointment as a video call where you can meet the doctor who is putting your weight loss plan together and ask questions around the products being prescribed to you. Personally, I prefer the 1:1 Video Call which feels more personal and tailored to my health care needs and goals.

Hers includes Semaglutide as part of their diet plan.

Cost Comparison

The norm, when you start Semaglutide is that your first month dosage will be lower than months, two, three and beyond. So be prepared to know that the longer you remain on Semaglutide, it will likely increase in price each month.

Semaglutide Price

Hers Package Pricing allows for your dosage to increase each month, meaning they know you'll need more product or additional vials to fulfill your prescription requirements.

3-Month package pricing:  $897.00 Single Payment ($299/mo)

Month-to-Month pricing $399.00

With Mochi, you'll be paying either your insurance required co-pay, which of course can vary, or if you are prescribed compounded Semaglutide, (non branded due to non insurance coverage) the cost is out of pocket rather than a co-pay.

Monthly Membership Fee - $79

Monthly Semaglutide Cost - $175 (for up to 2.4mg dose)

Mochi Total:  $254

Mochi offers compound Semaglutide at a very competitive price + monthly membership fee.

Do either charge an initial consultation fee?

No.

Will hers or Mochi help me navigate my insurance?

Yes, much of Mochi's strategy in being your partner in your weight-loss journey is to help you navigate your insurance and if they can't get you approved, they offer compounded Semaglutide as an out of pocket option at an affordable price.

Semaglultide can be used as a tool in your toolbelt for weight loss.

What we like and what could be better?

1. Both companies are LegitScript Certified, meaning they have been certified by an outside organization on their verification of facilitating transactions for pharmacies. It also means that they have been approved for card-not-present transactions over the internet.

2. Mochi Health offers comprehensive obesity medicine.  Their membership plan includes labs, dietitian support, and ongoing treatment from your provider,  whereas hers offers all their support and feedback via text.

3. Hers has their pricing buried pretty deep, I had to really dig to find the package and month-to-month pricing. If we as consumers are paying out of pocket, I don't understand why they make it so hard to find the pricing we are looking for.  Versus with MOCHI, they make it very clear on their website the dosage size and price for each dose along with the added monthly membership.

Mochi VS hers, which one is more cost-effective?

Clearly, Mochi Health is the winner in this match-up. Even with the added $79 monthly membership fee, they are more affordable.   However, if you are shopping on price alone, be sure to see my complete comparison chart to see how hers and Mochi rank against some of the others.
