Life MD – How it Works
You will need a LifeMD subscription plan before you can see a doc or have a consultation. If you pay per month, the cost is $129 or if you buy 3-Months at one time, the cost is $290 or about $99 per month.
This provider offers more than just medical weight loss. Their services range from menopause care to backpain to pink eye. They have an extensive section on their website dedicated to their weight loss program.
The LifeMD subscription plan gives you:
GLP-1 prescriptions from US-licensed provider
Complimentary metabolic testing (If needed)
LifeMD dedicated weight loss guidance
Insurance coverage assistance for GLP-1 medications Ozempic®, Wegovy®
Ongoing support through your goal weight
LifeMD Weight Loss Money-Back Guarantee
The cost of medications will be on top of the monthly LifeMD subscription.
Life MD Cost & Weight Loss Journey Options
This company provides no pricing information on their website. I was able, through searching through some forums to get some cost information. We are assuming the cost below is for compounded, generic Semaglutide. This has not been validated.
1st Month - $199
THEN
2nd Month and beyond - $299
This company's messaging is more around helping you get approved for the name brand semaglutide products like Wegovy or Ozempic, which if you can, would only cost you your co-pay. However, if LifeMD is not able to help you gain an approval by your insurance company, they indicate that they can still help. If you qualify (BMI 27+) they can write a prescription for compounded semaglutide (non branded meds) which is significantly less expensive than the name brand versions.

How do I know if I qualify?
To be considered for GLP medications from most providers, you must have:
BMI of 30+
OR
BMI of 27 or greater AND
the presence of at least one weight-related comorbid condition
(hypertension, type 2 diabetes, or high cholesterol)
BMI is just one factor in determining eligibility. Your LifeMD licensed medical professional will customize a program tailored to your individual needs and goals.
Does LifeMD accept Insurance?
Yes, LifeMD makes many claims around how they'll help you navigate your insurance to get your weight-loss medications approved.
LifeMD, What we Like
1) The fact that they help you navigate your insurance is a big plus.
2) The LIfeMD Weight Loss Money-Back Gurantee. They are so confident you'll succeed, that if you participate in their Weight Management Program and don't lose at least 10% of your body weight by the end of a year, you'll be eligible for a refund.
3) LifeMD is LegitScript Certified, meaning they have been certified by an outside organization on their verification of facilitating transactions for pharmacies. It also means that they have been approved for card-not-present transactions over the internet.
What could be better?
1) If the discovered monthly price of $299 for month two and beyond, is correct, they are in the middle of the pack as it pertains to cost. I would like to see more transparency into pricing if you don't have or don't want to use insurance.
2) Subscription pricing is always tough to swallow, however in this case if they are able to get you approved and your insurance pays a majority of the cost for the meds, then the monthly fees wouldn't be as painful.
